Griffins, with the body of the lion and wings of an eagle, are powerful heraldic figures symbolizing courage and strength.
This pendant was converted from an antique slide (circa 1890) and features a griffin of 18k gold with diamond wings, a ruby eye and a pearl accent.
The piece measures 1.5 inches from the top of the bail to bottom by 0.8 inches wide and is in excellent condition. It weighs 2.7 grams.
